Rockynats

Start your engines and enjoy an adrenalin-pumping three days of Rockynats each April school holiday. The streets of Rockhampton are transformed, as classic cars and hotrods engage in a weekend of burnouts, drag racing, and drifting. If you live in Rockhampton City or Wandal, you’ll be able to see these amazing vehicles up close at the Rockynats Street Parade.

7Rocky River Run

Held every May, the 7Rocky River Run is Central Queensland’s biggest charity run, covering distances from 2km to 21km. The course takes you along tree-lined Quay Street, over the Fitzroy River and rail bridges, and along the picturesque riverbank.

CapriCon Pop Culture Convention

CapriCon is the largest pop culture convention in regional Queensland, held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds. Every September, the stars and creative minds behind some of our most beloved film, television, and comic series descend on Rockhampton for a weekend of colour, cosplay, and costumes.

Riverfest

The Rockhampton River Festival (or Riverfest) is an annual celebration of art and culture built around the Fitzroy (Tunuba) River. Each July, the Riverside Precinct comes alive with concerts, markets, and community activities as Rockhampton comes together to celebrate life along the river.
