Looking for a fresh start working in mining, resources or general industry?

Rockhampton is a key mining, manufacturing and logistics hub for Queensland, with employers ready to hire right now!

Bring your skills to Rockhampton and experience the work/life balance our growing economy and laid-back lifestyle provides.

A number of mines operate in the Rockhampton Region, producing everything from gold to sand and stone. Our connection to the mining industry goes far beyond producing minerals - Rockhampton is a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) and drive-in-drive-out (DIDO) hub for coal mines across the Bowen and Galilee Basins and has an extensive network of businesses which provide workers, machinery, services and support to those mines.

Built by industry. Powered by people.

Pranshu and Mason (who you can see in the video below) work in Rockhampton for QMAG, a resources company which mines and processes magnesite.

They've chosen to built their lives in Rockhampton because of its housing affordability, short-commutes, laid-back lifestyle and natural beauty.

  • On-site work at a mine in the Rockhampton Region
  • FIFO or DIDO on-site work at a mine in the Bowen or Galilee Basin
  • Working with a business that supplies hired equipment, repair or maintenance services
  • Civil construction jobs on our major projects pipeline

Rockhampton was initially established during a gold rush and has been a major service centre for the mining industry ever since. Our local residents and businesses are well-connected to major employers and appreciate the economic value mining bring to the region.
