Published on 22 December 2025
Ready to welcome in 2026? We've got the info you need to plan a spectacular, safe and enjoyable New Years Eve in Rockhampton.
In between the last-minute Christmas shopping, festive preparations and work wrap-up parties, remember to find time to take a breather – we’ve made it through another year, and that is something worth celebrating as a community!
New Years Fireworks
The Riverside Precinct will be the place to be on New Years Eve
The Rockhampton Riverside Precinct will be the place to be on New Years Eve, with two amazing fireworks displays to light up the sky above the mighty Fitzroy River (Tunuba). If you’re looking to head out with the family the 7:30pm display is ideal, otherwise head along for the midnight show as we officially click over in 2026.
Quay Street will be lined with food trucks from 4:30pm to 8:00pm, with plenty of delicious restaurants, bars and clubs within walking distance to make a complete night of it.
