2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre

Rockhampton’s 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre is located on Sir Raymond Huish Drive at the Victoria Park precinct, along the south side of the river. The recently built waterpark play area ensures kids can stay cool and adults can join the fun too! With both indoor and covered outdoor pools you can enjoy the water without the sun for only a $2.50 entry fee.

Facilities include:

  • Heated 50m FINA compliant 2 metre constant depth covered pool (ramp access)
  • Heated 25m pool (ramp access)
  • Hot shower facilities
  • 650 seat covered grandstand
  • Wet playground area
  • Diving pool
  • Heated learn to swim pool.

42nd Battalion Memorial Pool

The 42nd Battalion Memorial Pool is located on Berserker Street, North Rockhampton. Facilities include a partially covered 50m variable depth pool, huge wading pool and play area and three giant waterslides for lots of thrills. Expansive grounds invite a lazy Sunday picnic – and the putt-putt course adjoining the pool is always great for kids.

Entry to the pool is $2.50, and the pool is closed from 1 May to 31 August each year.

Gracemere Swimming Pool 

The Gracemere Swimming Pool is located on Fisher Street, Gracemere. Facilities include a 25m variable depth pool, wading pool, learn to swim heated pool and picnic tables.

Entry to the pool is $2 and the pool is closed from 1 May to 31 August each year.

Mount Morgan Swimming Pool 

The Mount Morgan Swimming Pool is located on Thompson Avenue, Mount Morgan. Facilities include a 30m pool with shade at the shallow end, beach entry style wading pool and large grandstand.

Entry to the pool is $2.50 and the pool is closed from 1 May to 31 August each year.

Water Jet Plaza, Riverside Precinct

Suitable for children of all ages, the Water Jet Plaza is the perfect place for cooling off over the warmer months. Located in Rod Laver Plaza, Quay Street, the water jets are in operation from 9am weekdays and 8am on weekends. From sunset until 10pm the plaza is transformed into a magical water and light show which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. For ease of access there is a lift located on Quay Street adjacent to Boathouse Rockhampton restaurant.

Kershaw Gardens wet playground

Prepared to get your toes wet in the Kershaw Gardens’ zero-depth play area! The 200mm deep meandering water course was designed to represent the flow of water through the Fitzroy River from Riverslea out to the sea. It also comes complete with its very own barrage! Plenty of vantage points around the water play area to watch the kids paddle – and keep your feet cool too! Enjoy all the other playgrounds, walking tracks and BBQ facilities while you’re there.

Cedric Archer Park, wet playground

The Cedric Archer Wet Playground at Gracemere was recently upgraded with over $2.3 million invested in new equipment and facilities. The park provides endless cool water fun for toddlers and children amongst the spray tunnels, mega soakers and tipping buckets. You’ll also find challenging physical equipment, a skate park, picnic facilities and amenities block.
